My new pet peeve is people completely misunderstanding the term Male Gaze and making the term female gaze based entirely on that misunderstanding
the white boy of the month pushing his hair back and reading poetry for the camera is not the equivalent of the dehumanization of women in visual media by way of presenting them primarily as vessels for sexual gratification
Americans will measure in anything except the metric system
So apparently this is just this guy’s thing
Average american unwilling to measure using metric system factoid actually a statistical error. Measurements Georg who refuses to use metric system on 10,000 posts a month is an outlier and should not have been counted.
I was let go. Not even a month in. They just couldn’t afford to have me on with all of the stuff going on. Back to job searching again.
Emotionally I’m not well. I was so happy and excited to start this new journey and it’s been unceremoniously cut short and now I’m back to square one. Silver lining is that this happened so early on that is hasn’t really affected my and my partner’s current living situation and financials. We’re just back to how it was.
But it isn’t all doom and gloom! I’ve got Shrekfest coming up and that’ll be a lot of fun, and I can keep moving forward with the love and support from my loved ones and all of you.
